Terms of Service
The terms for using the Memora Keep desktop app: what the license covers, what we do not promise, and how the app behaves on your computer.
Last updated
Memora Keep is a desktop app for Windows and macOS. It backs up a phone to a folder on your own computer, parses that backup into a local archive, and lets you browse, search and export what is inside. These terms describe the agreement between you and us when you use it.
These terms in plain language
Using the app means accepting these terms. Memora Keep is free, needs no account, and keeps your data on your own computer. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the app.
What the app does
Memora Keep copies data from an iPhone or an Android phone to a folder you choose, then parses it into a local archive. Your backups, chats, media and the archive stay in that folder. Nothing you back up is sent to us, and there is no account or sign-in.
Your license to use the app
You may install and use Memora Keep for your own personal purposes, at no charge for now. You may not resell the app, redistribute it as your own product, or remove the notices that identify it as ours. You may not reverse engineer the app except where the law gives you the right to do so.
Your data stays yours
The folder you choose belongs to you. We have no access to it and no way to read it. You are responsible for keeping enough free disk space, for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, and for having the right to back up the devices you connect.
What we do not promise
The app is provided as is. We do not promise that it will work with every device, every operating system or every kind of data, or that a parse will always be complete. An encrypted backup cannot be read without its backup password, for example, and generic files that are not parsed stay in the original backup folder rather than appearing in the archive.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost or corrupted data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you cannot give up by agreement.
Updates to the app and to these terms
We may release new features and change the app over time. We may also update these terms; when we do, the date at the top of this page changes and the current version always applies. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using the app at any time and uninstall it. Uninstalling does not delete the folder you chose, so your backups and your archive remain yours and stay readable. We cannot delete that data for you, because we never had it.
